Introduction

TransProof Services was originally established as an agency in 1999 providing a professional translation service from Norwegian to English. The business is run by Carole Hognestad, an experienced translator and native English speaker.

After operating as a small agency for most of 1999, I decided to focus my efforts on working solely as a translator. I have therefore worked as an independent translator under the name of TransProof Services since the end of 1999. Since that time my customer base has expanded to include various companies and agencies in Norway, the UK, the USA, Finland and Canada (some of which are listed in Projects and clients).

Originally from Dundee in Scotland, I have lived in southern Norway since 1995. I also have a holiday home in Dundee which allows me to travel to the UK frequently, where I work using my laptop computer. When in Norway, I work from my home office, which is fully-equipped with the latest technology necessary to run an efficient and professional translation business. (See Resources)
